Banana Republic: After 5 Event

I had a great time at the Banana Republic: After 5 event at Tysons' Corner
It maybe dreary in DC, but it was a lovely summer day inside of the BR store! Complete with beach chairs, Hawaiian leis and fruity cocktail drinks!
Here are my favorite dresses from the event!

a dress so nice i had to post it twice!

Truth is these pants should technically be in the trash...or at least a goodwill bin somewhere. That's because after winning a gift certificate to Style For Hire from The Capitol Fashionista  I had stylist Kara Allan come over and assess my wardrobe; these pants, along with about 6 other pieces, got the boot! I managed to successfully offload the other items at Crossroads while on winter vacation in San Francisco, but I literally couldn't give these pants away!
So this morning they attacked me and jumped onto my legs.
Are they man repelling? I know i'm a shorty, but these pants make me look about 3 feet tall! And yet there is still something I LOVE about them. Anyone want to take them off my hands? They are a VERY GENEROUS J.Crew size 6.

STAY-CATION ALL I EVER NEEDED It occurred to me that if I were going on a trip somewhere fabulous this would be the perfect outfit. This shirt dress is packable and wrinkle-friendly and these shoes are high enough for a fancy dinner but comfortable enough to walk around a museum.  Too bad I'm just going to work, but maybe i'll sit outside during lunch and pretend i'm near a beach!

GIRLS WHO LIKE BOYS, WHO LIKE GIRLS I couldnt decide if this outfit was pulled together or man repelling. Although they're called boyfriend blazers, I have a suspicion that "boys" are just not that into these jackets because they hide all of the curves that make women sexy. I paired mine with a pencil skirt...the ultimate feminine clothing item. I'm hoping the two pieces cancel each other out!

FRUMPTY DUMPTY: a little too casual for business
On my way into the office I saw someone I knew, they looked me up and down in this outfit and said finally: "I thought you were going to work today..." Clearly not my best look!
