WHAT I WORE: tip to toe!

Top | Denim | Jacket

Outfit: Rock & Republic c/o Kohl's

Kohl's challenged me to try on the Spring line of denim by Rock & Republic and create a look that is versatile. I chose these embellished skinny jeans and dressed them up for a chic Parisian look and dressed them down for a night out at a bar or concert. Which look do you prefer?

My friends over at Kohl's threw down the fashion gauntlet... challenging me to pick a pair of jeans from the Spring denim line by Rock & Republic and create two looks; One dressed up and one dressed down. Challenge accepted! What do you think about this Parisian inspired look...chic no?

Check back on Friday March 28, 2014 to see how I dressed down this pair of embellished skinny jeans.

Zumba Wear

WHAT I WORE: tip to toe!

hoodie | sports bra | leggings | shoes

All clothing provided by Zumba®

I read something recently about working out in clothes that make you feel attractive and it was like the record scratched…say what? I wear old sorority tee shirts and leggings with holes in them to the gym. Most mornings I roll out of bed, put a sports bra under my pajamas and head to the gym. It has NEVER occurred to me to wear something sexy, but now that I've tried it I'm on board!

I was approached to wear and review several outfits from Zumba Fitness. If you've ever tried a Zumba class you know the moves are sexy, silly and fun; and that's pretty much how I felt in this bright pink and purple outfit. The best part was I could go straight from the gym to brunch without having to change clothes... and I'm seriously all for whatever gets me to brunch faster.
Do you like to feel sexy when you work out? What do you wear to the gym?

God Save the Duke

WHAT I WORE: tip to toe!

Duke & Winston

(15% off with code BE2014)

Can we take a moment to absorb the adorableness that is Mr. Bradley "Superstar"? If you haven't been formally introduced he is my 5 year old Westie. He's appeared on the blog a few times, most recently when he hosted a charity brunch to benefit the Washington Humane Society. He also enjoys Yappy Hour from time to time and we share the same birthday!

Anywhoo we are wearing adorable matching tops from Duke & Winston a preppy clothing line based in Philadelphia. I actually backed the Duke & Winston Kickstarter campaign a few years ago and i'm so excited to see it growing. The tees and hoodies are made of the softest cotton you've ever felt...a guy actually asked to touch my hoodie. Its a men's clothing line, but the pieces are pretty unisex (and certainly get the guy's attention when you were them) so there's something for everyone...and their dog!

I've signed on as a Duke & Winston Brand Ambassador for the Washington, DC area and i'm excited to share the brand (and a discount) with my WHAT I WORE: tip to toe! readers. Head over to and use code BE2014 for 15% off. If you buy something cool email me a picture at or post it to your social media using the hashtags #dukeandwinston #GSTD and #rockinmydw

WHAT I WORE: tip to toe!

suit- Ann Taylor | bag- Rebecca Minkoff (borrowed) | shoes- SJP "Lady"

I had a great time at the launch of the SJP (Sarah Jessica Parker) shoe line last night at Nordstrom Pentagon City. It was only a matter of time until Carrie Sarah Jessica Parker cashed in on the 5th character from the SACT (Sex and the City)…the shoes!

Any fan of the show remembers how obsessed Carrie was with her Manolos; the episode where she tries to buy her apartment and realizes she's slowly gone broke over the years due to her shoe obsession haunted me when i decided to buy a home. Thankfully SJP kept us single, home owning ladies in mind when she priced this shoe line, available exclusively at Nordstrom. The most expensive shoes cost just $425 (the SJP Etta pump available in black or pink) and $485 (brown leather bootie that looks suspiciously like the Manolo Timberland) respectively. Some of the least expensive pairs are the Billie Suede Flat for $195, which is reminiscent of the popular Chanel espadrille flats, and the Wallace Sandal for $250, which I love!

But my favorite pair hands down were the SJP Lady pump in bright red grosgrain for $350. Overall the shoes were well made, beautifully styled and oh so Carrie! Save up and buy a pair before they sell out. SJPxNordstrom
