Gilt City Warehouse Sale | Friday June 12 and Saturday June 13
If you've been a longtime WHAT I WORE: tip to toe! reader you know one of the events I attend each year is the Gilt City Warehouse sale. DC doesn't have tons of sample sales like New York does, so when Gilt City comes to town its a huge deal.Check out my coverage of last year's Gilt City Warehouse sale where I spotted Valentino sling backs, a Carolina Herrera ball gown and had so much fun noshing on snacks and sipping on cocktails with other fashionistas. The details of this two-day shopping party are listed below. See you there!
Date:Friday, June 12th and Saturday, June 13th
Location: Dock5 at Union Market (1309 5th Street NE)
Before you blow this post off as another piece of publicity for the fame hungry Kardashian Klan, let me say this...I did NOT expect to love the Kendall + Kylie clothing line at Nordstrom (also available at Saks and Neiman Marcus and soon to be available at Bloomingdale's, Lord & Taylor, Shopbop and Revolve) but I did. The girls may be fruit of a poisonous tree, but their clothing line speaks for itself.
Winter is coming...although not this weekend as its going to be 70 degrees in DC on Saturday, but its will sneak up on you so lets be prepared. Here are my picks for the 5 best beauty products available at Target to winterize your skin.
BODY Cera Ve $13 (16 oz) I've been using CeraVe Moisturizing Creamas a body lotion for the last month. Its thick and is well absorbed by the skin, but isn't greasy. It also doesn't have a scent so you can layer it under your perfume or use it with your body wash. I found it moisturizing all day and felt like $13 for a 16 oz jar (think 2-3 body butters stacked) is a great value. Works just as well as the body butter I was buying at $20 for less than 7oz.
BONUS USE: Hand Cream; scoop some out into a small container and keep it in your purse or at your desk as a hand cream.
HANDS Aquaphor $5 (1.75 oz) I love Aquaphor as a hand cream. It's almost medical grade moisture for dry skin in winter. I think it's original use was diaper rash cream for…
WHAT I WORE: tip to toe!dress | boots | choker I'm totally loving the fact that the 90's are back. Sadly I didn't keep any of my clothes from that time, but luckily all of the stores are selling pieces to help you achieve the look. This dress from Whistle & Wild is under $50 and the lace choker is less than $15 and goes with so many looks! Have you tried the 90's look? Are you as obsessed with velvet as I am?
